Regular Maintenance Program

Want to simplify your plumbing needs and prevent issues before they arise?

Register for our Regular Maintenance Program and we will contact you annually (or bi-annually if needed) to check over your home/beach house and carry out any maintenance you would like done.

Drain Clearing – Blockage Prevention

WHY | Sewer blockages are commonly caused by tree roots & old earthenware drains. Annual clearing will help prevent sewerage overflows and damage caused by blocked and broken pipes. This will also help to prevent blockages becoming so large that they require major excavation works.

WHAT’S INVOLVED | We use a sewer machine with an auger (giant corkscrew) to remove tree roots. Then a 100mm cutting head to trim the roots. If a 100mm cutting head can’t be used, a smaller fitting is drilled through the blockage leaving some roots inside which will eventually grow back.

Spout & Gutter

WHY | To prevent overflowing gutters and blocked downpipes which, when blocked, can cause rust, timber & eave damage (externally) and ceiling, wall & floor damage (internally).

 WHAT’S INVOLVED | Thorough clean of gutters and downpipes and check of roofs and roof appliances. We will notify you if we find anything that may require actioning.

NOTE: * 2 storey+ roof requires 2 x trades   

FREQUENCY | Annually
COST| $150 single storey, $250 double storey+

Pre-Peak Season Check

WHY | Checking things prior to the busy seasons reduces pressure on owners, tradespeople, property managers and guests/tenants during the busiest times of the year.

For example: Everything seems fine when two people are using the property over winter but, when the house is full over peak periods the issues begin to show.

Murphy’s Law dictates that this often happens just after people arrive for their holiday, or after hours.

While it’s not possible to know when all breakdowns will occur, with regular maintenance we hope most jobs can be dealt with a minimum of inconvenience and stress.

WHAT’S INVOLVED | Thorough checks inside and out. Some of our most common callouts are:

  • No/not enough hot water
  • Leaking hot water services, WCs & roofs
  • Blocked or slow drains
  • Stiff and/or dripping taps
  • Broken shower heads
  • Leaks in cupboards
  • No gas
  • Dishwasher replacement/installation
  • + other plumbing, drainage, gas & roofing issues

COST| $200

Water Pressure - PRV Installation

WHY | Excessive water pressure is experienced in most towns along the Surf Coast, particularly Anglesea.  It can cause a range of plumbing problems such as:

  • Leaking WC cisterns, taps, ceramic discs and pressure relief valves
  • Damaged solenoid valves on dishwasher, washing machines and garden sprinkler systems.
  • Burst water mains, hoses to machines and flexible hose connectors on taps in cupboards.
  • Water hammer
  • Unequal pressure causing freezing/scalding water.
  • Burst electric hot water services.

NOTE: The warranty on most new taps, dishwashers and washing machines only apply if pressure does not exceed 500kpa. Insurance companies may not pay out on any claims where homes are not fitted with a PLV.
